Brighouse Round Table 451

Brighouse Round Table is part of an international organisation, which was established over 75 years ago to promote friendship, fellowship and a community spirit amongst young men. We meet on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month in Brighouse.

Although we are a male organisation, we work closely with our sister club, Brighouse Ladies Circle. We jointly raise over £8,000 per year for local and national charities, as well as local community groups and individuals.

That’s why we describe ourselves as a “social club with a conscience,” and we do place a lot of emphasis on socialising. We take part in a diverse range of activities- from basic beer drinking and curry eating, to waterskiing, climbing, cycling, sailing, gliding - pretty well anything we can think of! As part of a larger group of Round Tables in West Yorkshire we organise annual trips abroad with partners, inter-table quizzes and many sporting events.

Much of our socialising includes our families, when we go camping or just day trips out with a picnic and a few tins!

Then there’s the all important “Male Bonding”- which normally takes place in the pub with a few beers…
